    Here is a version of Amazing Grace in French that is really beautiful.  Try to see if you recognize any of the vocabulary used.  We’ll discuss it in class this Sunday.

Jonas et la baleine

     I found this cartoon on YouTube.  It is the story of Jonah and the whale (or big fish).  It is made by Hanna Barbara -- but it is still pretty accurate.  Have a look at it and let me know what you think.  Many of the vocabulary words we learned in class are found throughout:

La Marseillaise

     Edith Piaf led a very difficult life.  A recent movie portrayed her trials.  It is called “La Vie En Rose”  -- named after one of her most famous songs.  In this scene below, you meet the young Edith Piaf singing "La Marseillaise” -- or the French National Anthem.  For what it is worth, Edith Piaf got her start singing while street performing with her father as a young girl.
